I AM SONG, JE SUIS CHANSON

CMEA/ACME 50th Anniversary Music I Am Song, Je Suis Chanson

Now for Sale

Proceeds To Go To Special Fund For Young Musicians

The CMEA/ACME 50th Anniversary Song is now for sale to Unison, SSA and SAB choirs.

I Am Song, Je Suis Chanson was written by Jean McKen, composer, educator and Breezin' ThruTM Theory founder. It was selected as the CMEA/ACME 50th Anniversary song competition winner this past year.

The lyrics of  I Am Song, Je Suis Chanson are intended to reflect the common mission of music education across Canada and to illustrate the experiences we have as performers and listeners of music:

“Music is a medium which enhances our ability to learn, inspires us to seek truth, defines our emotions beyond words and bonds us together to share common ideals and build stronger relationships.”

All proceeds from the sale of this song will be donated by Jean McKen to the CMEA to create a special fund. Once the fund is of reasonable size, it will be used to establish a scholarship for young musicians who show talent, motivation and a need for financial support to further their studies in music.
